FOAMSTARS: A Quick Overview

Setting itself apart from typical multiplayer shooters, FOAMSTARS introduces a unique gameplay element. The fresh 4v4 online party shooter designed for PS5 and PS4 - forget bullets, it's all about spraying foam!

In this exciting new game, two teams of vibrant characters face off in lively, fast-paced, and foam-filled battles.

Immerse yourself in the diverse world of colorful characters as you embark on thrilling adventures across a multitude of game modes and arenas. Use bubbly ballistics to construct new landscapes, zoom around at incredible speeds, establish strategic vantage points, and more. And, of course, claim victory by foaming up your rivals!

Additionally, the complete game will be included in the February lineup of PlayStation Plus Monthly Games. This means that from February 6 to March 4, all PlayStation Plus members can access, download, and enjoy FOAMSTARS at no additional expense.

Similar to other titles in the Monthly Games lineup, once you've redeemed the game, you have the freedom to play as much as you want, as long as your PS Plus subscription remains active!

FOAMSTARS | What are the Available Game Modes?

When FOAMSTARS is released, you'll have different ways to play. There will be multiplayer modes where you can team up with others, and there's also some single-player content for those who like to play alone.

FOAMSTARS 3 MAJOR GAME MODES:

SMASH THE STAR - Coordination and teamwork are key to success in this thrilling battle! Secure victory by defeating the designated Star Player on the opposing team in FOAMSTARS. Once you've taken down seven players from the other team, one of the remaining players will be chosen as the Star Player and gain various buffs. Team up to overpower their Star Player while ensuring the protection of your own.

HAPPY BATH SURVIVAL - This mode adds an extra layer of strategy, requiring teamwork and coordination to triumph. The team is divided, with half inside the arena and half outside it during each round. Those outsides can support their teammates by deploying defensive foam and using other techniques, while those inside engage in close-quarters combat to secure victory!

RUBBER DUCK PARTY - In this mode, teams compete to reach the center of the stage and vie for control of the rubber duck. Climbing aboard propels it towards the opposing goal. By dancing on the duck's head, it speeds towards the finish line for a match-winning move.

Successful teamwork is crucial as players strategically foam the battlefield, enabling faster movement across the expansive map and defending the rubber duck from the opposing team. With no respawn limit in this mode, players can fully focus on the objective, making strategic plays to secure victory.

FOAMSTARS | What are the Missions?

FOAMSTAR Mission (Solo) – In the single-player mode, players have the chance to acquaint themselves with the diverse cast of quirky characters in FOAMSTARS and experiment with their individual abilities. Before delving into the multiplayer action, players can put each character through their paces, allowing for a deeper understanding and mastery of their skills.

Squad Mission (4-player co-op) - Embark on team missions by teaming up with up to three friends to tackle challenging objectives together. Successfully clearing waves in these missions allows you to enhance your FOAMSTARS with various effects, adding an extra layer of strategy and teamwork to the game.

Unlock rewards in FOAMSTARS by completing Challenges – three types with unique rewards. Some are achieved naturally, while others require extra effort. Exclusive rewards, like The Baristador character, can only be earned through challenges!

FOAMSTARS plans free seasonal updates in the first year, introducing new characters, maps, and modes. Earn XP to raise your tier and unlock rewards. A Premium Season Pass offers exclusive rewards and early unlocks, such as the immediate unlocking of Mel T in the first season.
