Roblox Wallet Explained: Daily Creator Payouts, Roblox Card and What Changes
Roblox Wallet is a new financial account for Roblox creators, not a new Robux wallet for regular players. Starting in December 2026, eligible U.S. creators will begin getting access to automatic USD payouts, bank transfers and detailed financial tools directly through Creator Hub. Roblox Card is planned to follow in 2027.

What is Roblox Wallet?
Roblox Wallet is a new financial account built directly into Creator Hub to give eligible Roblox creators faster access to the money they earn on the platform.
Instead of waiting to request a Developer Exchange payout, creators with Wallet will receive cleared earnings automatically in U.S. dollars every business day.
Roblox says creators will also be able to track transactions, monitor cash flow and transfer available funds to an external bank account on their own schedule.
The important distinction is that Roblox Wallet is designed for creators earning money through Roblox. It is not a replacement for a normal player's Robux balance.
Roblox announced the feature during RDC 2026. You can read the official Roblox Wallet announcement for the full rollout details.

How Will Roblox Wallet Change Creator Payouts?
The biggest change is frequency.
Under the current Developer Exchange system, eligible creators convert earned Robux into real-world currency through DevEx. Roblox Wallet is designed to make that process more automatic.
Once eligible earnings have cleared their applicable hold period, they can be paid into Wallet every business day rather than waiting for a monthly DevEx cooldown.
Creators can then keep the money in Wallet or transfer available funds to their bank.
This does not mean every Roblox sale becomes instantly withdrawable cash. Roblox says transactions can be subject to a hold period of up to 30 days before the funds become available.
Why is Roblox Introducing Wallet?
Roblox's creator economy has grown far beyond individual developers making small experiences in their spare time.
According to Roblox, it has paid creators more than $5 billion through DevEx since the programme launched in 2013, including approximately $1.7 billion during the previous year.
For creators operating larger games, teams and businesses, that can create more complicated needs around cash flow, accounting and expenses.
Wallet is Roblox's attempt to make Creator Hub function more like a financial dashboard for those businesses rather than simply a place to request occasional payouts.
Creators Will Get More Detailed Transaction Data
Roblox Wallet is also bringing more financial information into Creator Hub.
Roblox says creators will be able to view transaction-level records and see which virtual sales contributed to each daily payout.
The new transaction tools are expected to include filtering, sorting and exporting so creators can use the data in their own accounting workflows.
Tax documentation connected to Wallet will also appear inside Creator Hub alongside other tax documents Roblox already provides.
What Happens to DevEx?
Developer Exchange is not disappearing immediately.
Roblox says Wallet will be optional when the first invitations begin in December 2026. Eligible creators must apply and be approved before opening a Wallet.
For U.S. creators, Roblox currently plans to transition away from DevEx around mid-2027. DevEx will remain available longer in other regions, with Roblox planning to announce regional transition dates as Wallet expands internationally.
Previously earned Robux does not disappear when a creator opens a Wallet. Roblox says existing earned Robux will remain eligible for DevEx during the transition.
What Happens to Robux After You Open a Wallet?
Robux is still important to the creator ecosystem.
Creators use Robux for activities such as testing experiences, platform spending and certain publishing-related costs, so moving creator earnings into USD creates an obvious question: would creators have to buy Robux again at normal retail prices?
Roblox says Wallet users will be able to buy Robux at the current DevEx rate of $0.0038 per Robux, plus applicable tax.
Roblox's examples put:
• 10,000 Robux at $38
• 30,000 Robux at $114
The purpose is to let creators reinvest earnings into Roblox without losing buying power by purchasing the same Robux again at the normal retail rate.
What Is Roblox Card?
Roblox Card is the next stage of the Wallet system and is currently planned to begin rolling out in selected markets in 2027.
The card will connect directly to a creator's available Roblox Wallet balance and can be used for real-world spending wherever the supported card network is accepted.
Roblox also says users will be able to add the card to a digital wallet and use tap-to-pay from a compatible phone.
Roblox Card is not a credit card. Roblox says creators will only be able to spend money that is already available in their Wallet balance, with no credit line or loan attached.
Who Gets Roblox Wallet First?
The first rollout is fairly specific.
Beginning in December 2026, Roblox plans to invite eligible creators who are
• Based in the United States
• At least 18 years old
• Independent creators operating as sole proprietors
• Invited and approved to open a Wallet
Opening a Wallet will require identity verification, two-factor authentication, tax documentation and any other required account setup.
Roblox says it plans to broaden eligibility during 2027 to include incorporated businesses, group-owned wallets, eligible creators aged 13+ with parental consent and international creators.
Will Roblox Wallet Be Available Outside the United States?
Yes, but not at launch.
Roblox says international expansion is planned for 2027 across available regions.
The company also plans to support an option for creators to receive payouts in local currency as Wallet expands.Exact rollout dates for individual countries have not yet been announced.
Is Roblox Wallet for Regular Roblox Players?
No. Based on Roblox's current announcement, Roblox Wallet is a creator earnings product.
A normal Roblox player does not need Roblox Wallet to buy Robux, redeem a gift card or play Roblox experiences.
This distinction matters because the name "Roblox Wallet" could easily sound like a replacement for existing player balances or Roblox gift cards. That is not what Roblox has announced.
Does Roblox Wallet Replace Roblox Gift Cards?
No. Roblox has not announced that Wallet will replace Roblox Gift Cards or the normal ways players purchase Robux.
Roblox Wallet is designed to manage creator earnings, while Roblox Gift Cards remain a consumer payment option for Roblox players.
If you're looking for player credit rather than creator payouts, you can browse Roblox Gift Cards available through Livecards.net.
Roblox Wallet, Robux and Gift Cards Are Different Things

| Product | Main Purpose | Designed For |
|---|---|---|
| Roblox Wallet | Receive, track and transfer creator earnings | Eligible Roblox creators |
| Robux | Virtual currency used across the Roblox platform | Players and creators |
| Roblox Gift Card | Prepaid Roblox value that can be redeemed through a Roblox account | Players or gift recipients |
| DevEx | Exchange eligible earned Robux for real-world currency | Eligible creators |
Why Roblox Wallet Could Be a Big Change for Creators
The most important part of Roblox Wallet may not be the Wallet itself. It is the shift toward treating Roblox creators more like businesses operating inside the platform.
Daily cleared payouts, transaction analytics, bank transfers, tax documentation and eventually a connected spending card move Roblox closer to providing creators with a complete financial system around their work.
That could be especially important for creators running larger experiences with regular expenses, advertising costs and teams that need predictable cash flow.
Roblox has described Wallet as a foundation it intends to build on, so the December 2026 rollout appears to be the beginning rather than the finished product.
