You play Toby, a police detective arriving at a mysterious old mansion in Paper Cut Mansion. It is a roguelite horror game set in a papercraft world. Each run allows you to collect another piece of evidence, which you can add to your Evidence Board as you unravel the mystery behind this bizarre house. In addition to a mysterious cast of characters, the Mansion also hosts a variety of challenges...

Through the progression of Paper Cut Mansion, you will be able to define your play style as you unlock new abilities and discover new equipment that will help you overcome the challenges presented by each run generated procedurally. With each new item, you can customize the ultimate build to meet your needs. Would you like to be a melee fighter or a ranged marksman?

You can use a drone to fight for you, or you can build an engineering build that can lay down traps and turrets as you back enemies into them. As you complete quests, you'll also receive temporary perks, so each run is unique since you may not receive the same perks next time. You have endless options to overcome the ever-shifting procedural rooms within the mansion.

There is also a dimension-hopping twist in the mansion. There are portals on each floor that lead to alternate versions of the same location. Each dimension changes the aesthetics and gameplay. It plays out like an escape room, with challenges, puzzles, and surprises. You always start off in the NeoCortex dimension.

The Reptilian Complex and Limbic System Dimensions will be your destinations from there. As the Reptilian Complex becomes overrun by monsters, the mansion takes on a fiery appearance. As the Limbic System swells with an icy chill, you'll need to move quickly and stay near heat sources in order to find hidden items or torches to illuminate.

The mansion is teeming with various adversaries, hints, missions, secrets, and reward awaiting discovery. Kit upgrades, intricate logic puzzles, and quests to finish are just some of what you have to keep track of. A musical interlude between levels reveals more of the ever-changing narrative; certain choices along your journey results in 27 different endings that concludes this epic story.
